Returning to run of the Great Wall of China

Back To The Wall

The Details

In December 2006, extreme athlete David Grier became one of the first people in history to jointly run the entire length of the Great Wall of China in one attempt: 4200 km in 98 days. Now, nearly 12 years later, “the rebel with a new cause” returns to China to run the wall in the opposite direction and to “Ignite Hope” along the way.

The Goal

Adventurer David Grier and his long-time running partner, Andrew Stuart, are at it again. This time they are going to conquer The Great Wall of China – covering 4200 kms in just 70 days. In the process, they also plan to “Ignite Hope” among the youth. Through this journey they want to prove to the youth, no matter how insurmountable the challenge is, together we can achieve anything.

“Ignite Hope” is an initiative to create awareness and assist youth suffering from kidney disease, or babies born with a cleft lip and palate. It’s also a call to action which sets out to engage with inspirational individuals to inspire the youth and reignite passion and hope in our lives.
